The aim of the exhibition “Prints of fairs and markets (18th and 20th centuries)” is to recall the role of these business meetings in the traditional society, the real link between the great fairs of medieval and modern times, and specialized markets and monographic samples we know today. Thus, the original prints in this exhibition collect images of markets, street vendors, “traveling industries”, merchants of fairs,… all created and recorded by Spanish or foreign artists whose work has been developed in the “long nineteenth century”, i.e. between the last quarter …
