Walking around the streets of Peñíscola, you run the risk of falling under the spell of a city that has transcended the barrier of time.

The defensive elements of this section of Castellón’s coastline and the stunning landscapes of the Irta Mountains create a captivatingly beautiful scene. Magic that will be unveiled until 23rd June thanks to the Peñíscola Magic Summer festival.

Starting on Thursday, a varied and attractive cultural programme will welcome summer into this town in Baix Maestrat. Grown-ups and children alike will enjoy all kinds of shows, tricks, rituals and music by the sea, flowing into endless nights.

The night of San Juan will be celebrated with an original and surprising celebration on the beach. Entitled Fuego de culturas or fire of cultures, the bond between man and fire throughout history will be recreated for everyone to see. Over the course of five days, the Papa Luna castle will reveal its secrets and the Promenade will be the setting for the best magic tricks and illusions performed by famous Spanish illusionists and conjurors.
