Valencia is the second most admired city in knowledge management
Valencia has won the second prize of the world’s most admired city in knowledge management, which is annually granted by the international entities World Capital Institute and Teleos, just behind the English city of Manchester.
MAKCi Awards 2009 (Most Admired Knowledge Cities) will be delivered during the second summit of ’Knowledge Cities’, to be held in Shenzhen (China), from 5 to 7 November.
The MAKCI Exercise can be defined as a “knowledge-based initiative whose contribution to innovation depends largely on human imagination and creativity and the knowledge assets available at a point in time and context”.
This is an international recognition to the strategy Valencia has undertaken based on the talent and encouragement of the formation of citizens by supporting innovative initiatives and the development of knowledge.
The meeting in China will bring together international experts and related global knowledge-based development who will be able to know the values and opportunities Valencia offers.
Extravalencia congrats to all the people involved in these kind of projects that make possible the progress of the city.
