Yesterday Valencia has been the point of departure for the first sailing 2.0 around the world. ‘Aventura Oceánica’ (Ocean Venture) is a sailing trip around the world, combining high-level nautical sport with the most unique travel destinations of the planet including those with the highest difficulty a sailor  may face .

Jose Carlos Corral and Enrique Fenollosa will be the sailmen of  ’Aventura Oceánica’ during two years. The whole experience will be shared through their blog using the latest 2.0 technologies.

The term “2.0″ comes from the term “Web 2.0″ which refers to a new generation of websites based on the creation of content produced and shared by the own portal users. The concept goes beyond the mere 2.0 technology and is becoming a philosophy of how to do things, with the characteristics of user interactivity and active participation. ’Aventura Oceánica’ is born in its concept as a 2.0 project, which aims to proactively involve all those interested in their sailing round the world.
