February marks the start of this year’s large-scale events. Whilst the first of this season’s Formula One practice session will take place between 1st and 3rd, the 8th will see the start of the 33rd America’s Cup between the American BMW Oracle team and the Switzerland’s Alinghi and which will create an atmosphere of sporting fair play throughout the city’s Royal Marina and beaches…
February 13th is a day set aside for music lovers, as the 3rd edition of MTV Winter will include a performance by the British group Arctic Monkeys in the unique City of Arts and Sciences, which will be transformed once more between 7th and 9th of May to host one of the world’s most prestigious horse-riding events, the Global Champions Tour.
This is only a taster of this year’s extensive series of sporting events: 27th June will see the European Formula One Grand Prix, whilst November is reserved for tennis and motorcycle racing fans.
