Between 10th and 21st February, and under the slogan “Reality and
Fiction”, the VEO Festival will celebrate its 8th edition. The event
allows young artists to create their own productions that explore
the creative process and create new theatrical languages. The
main role is interpreted by the urban areas in which the artists’
works are contextualized. Thus, Valencian Gabi Ochoa will
represent his work, Mi camiseta, tus vaqueros sus zapatos, at the
IVAM (Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno) and Campanar
Market. Benicalap Park will be the setting of Les gûmes, in which
mutant creatures will build a new world. The Viveros Gardens will
play host to La casa de los monstruos, a fantasy show set in a
cabaret atmosphere and prepared by the Forman Brothers. And coinciding with the
European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion, the festival programme
includes Tierra de nadie, by Dutch playwright Dries Verhoeven. Further information:
