Metro Valencia
The whole metro system in Valencia is now accessible for those who need special accessibility conditions, whether it’s due to physical, hearing, visual or cognitive disabilities. It is one of the most accessible in Europe and 94% of the stations meets accessibility standards.
The Bailén Intermodal station is especially designed for visually impaired people – the walkways have textured tiles and are colour coded to indicate directions. In addition, the undersides of the handrails will carry information in Braille on the different facilities available in the station. In the future these services will be incorporated into the whole rail network.
