Beaches in Valencia
Fine-sand beaches with warm water and excellent facilities and services and within easy reach of the city. Thanks to its privileged position on the Mediterranean Sea, they can be enjoyed in autumn and even winter!
The Arenas and Malvarrosa beaches are just 5 kilometres from the city centre and easily reached by bus, by bike using the cycle path, by metro, by car or on foot. Valencia beaches also offer a perfect scenario to practice windsurf, sailing and many nautical activities. On summer nights, these Mediterranean beaches are crowded by the exciting Valencian nightlife. If you want to enjoy an authentic paella and at the same time feel the sun and sea breeze, this is the right place. The long boardwalk has loads of restaurants to choose from.
Thanks to recent investment, all of these beaches now offer access to disabled visitors, with ramps, adapted signage, walkways down to the sea, sea-wheelchairs for hire, shaded rest areas with adapted beach furniture, as well as accessible changing rooms, toilets and showers.
Regular ferries operate from Valencia Port to Ibiza and the Balearic Islands.

Malvarrosa Beach
It is the urban beach par excellence in Valencia. Wide and open, of fine and golden sand, it shows a very bustling aspect both at the own beach, because of the quality and quantity of services offered, and along the waterfront delimiting it, which gathers restaurants and cafés. It has an adapted area for people with reduced mobility.
Cabañal-Arenas Beach
Fine and golden sand beach with urban aspect having all kind of services, as well as sport and amusement areas for children. Nice temperatures in Valencia make this beach to be bustling during the most part of the year. Furthermore, it is one of the most frequented night life places from the month of April to the month of October.
Pinedo Beach
This beach is located to the south of the port and the yacht port sheltering the beach from northern winds. It is an open beach of fine sand and preserves in its environment a dune and vegetation area giving way to a fringe of the popular “Valencian huerta”.
El Saler Beach
Almost five kilometres of open beach of fine golden sand are a real luxury making it one of the most crowded beaches in the area. Sheltered from western winds by a dune chain of high ecological value and a wide extension of pinewoods giving its environment a wild and natural aspect. In summer, Garbí wind blowing in the evening makes this beach one of the favourite ones for windsurfing keens.
L’Arbre del Gos Beach
Located between Pinedo and El Saler, and close to the first dunes of the La Albufera Natural Park, this peaceful beach offers all the necessary amenities, including a cycle track, so that visitors can enjoy a pleasant dip plus a relaxing stroll or ride beside the sea.
La Devesa Beach
The beach, of almost five kilometre long, is of fine and golden sand. Its main attraction is its extraordinary natural environment, as it is located on the border of La Albufera Nature Reserve, a rich ecosystem where, next to pools and malladas (interdune depressions) all kind of vegetation intermingle, such as pines, palm hearts, kermes oaks, mastic and honeysuckle also sheltering several birds.
La Garrofera Beach
Located within the La Albufera Natural Park, La Garrofera beach boasts a kilometre and a half of fine sand and idyllic scenery sheltered by sand dunes – the perfect place to relax outdoors and enjoy the warm waters of the Mediterranean. Its excellent location between the magnificent beaches of El Saler to the north and La Devesa to the south make it a privileged natural enclave just a few kilometres from the city of Valencia.
El Perellonet – Recatí Beach
Located to the south of La Albufera channel, it is a quiet beach of fine sand delimited by a small residential area behind which an enormous extension of rice crops extends.
