Cirque du Soleil returns to Valencia

Unique thunderous rhythm in Valencia

“Las Fallas” wouldn’t be complete without “mascletaes”, which begin on 1st March and continue up to the end of the festivities on the 19th. At 2.00 o’clock each afternoon, Valencians and visitors gather in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento to enjoy the vibrant explosions of more than 100 kg of gunpowder, set off within a five minute period and which create a unique, thunderous rhythm.

BMW ORACLE Racing wins the 33rd America’s Cup

BMW ORACLE Racing, the American challenger, representing the Golden Gate Yacht Club, won the 33rd America’s Cup Match on Sunday in Valencia, sweeping past the Swiss defender, Alinghi, to a 2-0 victory.

“Las Fallas” are just around the corner

One again Valencia is immersed in the preparations for its most international festivity: “Las Fallas”. From 15th to 19th March, the city is transformed into an explosion of colours, aromas, magic and joy. Spring is about to begin and the city’s festivities extend their warmest welcome.
