Until February 28th, the Oceanogràfic at the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias will be home to the exhibition Ánforas del mar, containing over 100 reproductions of different sized amphorae that represent the trading spirit of Mediterranean cultures.

India. Art and culture on the Indian subcontinent (1857- 2007) at the Valencia Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) is the most important international exhibition of modern and contemporary art from India, one of the world’s most culturally dynamic countries.

The great white tent of the Veles e Vents building will welcome Cavalia, one of the most impressive equestrian shows in the world.
After touring the US, Canada and Europe, Cirque du Soleil pioneer Normand Latourelle will make a stop in Valencia, bringing this multimedia show of acrobats, tumblers, dancers and jockeys sharing the stage with horses, and offering a different and captivating experience for the most curious of audiences.

From 20th December to 11th January the Science Museum will be introducing new contents related to the “Marvel Superheroes” exhibition, among other activities. The Oceanográfico (aquarium) is holding its first Christmas School at the end of December.

Until January 6th, a huge nativity scene, entitled The Light of the Nativity at the Cathedral, will be on display at the Cathedral of Valencia.
This is the first time a nativity scene has been exhibited in the Cathedral for four centuries and it has been set up opposite the San Luis Obispo Chapel. This nativity scene is 12 metres long by 6 metres wide and consists of 400 pieces.

In this exhibition there are 54 paintings and sculptures which date from 1913 to the end of the twentieth century, documenting the different variants of abstraction, from the exuberant, formless abstraction defined in the early years to the strict geometries of the period between the two World Wars. It also covers the monumental oeuvre of the most prestigious living Spanish artist, Antoni Tàpies, who uses a mixed language.
