Casa Carmina

When it comes to restaurants that serve good rice dishes, Carmina is renowned as one of the best in the business. Carmina herself runs this fine restaurant with style and panache in the heart of the Albufera Natural Park. It offers guests an array of traditional dishes from the area, such as all i pebre (eel stew), magnificent eel in cinnamon, delicious sardine and caramelised onion bread, and baby squid with vegetables.

La Marcelina

It is the doyen of Valencia restaurants, a long-established restaurant that has been serving excellent paellas and seafood since 1888. It offers private and spacious dining rooms with lovely views of the Mediterranean. It has become one of the most sought after caterers for wedding receptions, business dinners and other special occasions. The wine list has a decent selection to choose from. Among the many awards they have received over the past 35 years, highlights the Cavanilles Tourism Award and the recognition of the Chamber of Commerce of Valencia.

Visitors are in the skilled hands of Carmen and Alicio, who have been running this typical Valencian restaurant for more than 25 years. They offer an appropriate menu in price and quality.

Alghero offers creative dishes from a totally Mediterranean base where the highlight is local fish. You can also opt for home baking. Intimate, exclusive, appropiate decoration without extravagances. Correct service, very much in the line of the restaurant. Wine list with numerous Spanish entries.

Casa Carmela

If your passion for paella is as strong as ours, you’ll want to taste the one made at this restaurant, the favourite one for most local residents. Located in Malvarrosa beach, this restaurant offers exquisite traditional Mediterranean cuisine by Jesus Gurea and his wife Carmen Berenguer.

La Pepica

Famous massive paella restaurant that has been open for more than a century, one of the few of that time still working. It has been called the grandmother of paella restaurants. It was founded in 1898 by the couple Francisco Balaguer and Josefa Marques and it is currently run by the grandchildren of the couple. It is located on the beach and near the port area. As well as Hemingway, film stars, bull-fighters, artists and writers have tasted its delicous rice dishes.

San Nicolas

No one knows more about the products of the sea than the owners of this restaurant. Felipe and Elisa will offer you different types of rice dishes, all of them are excellent. Their clientele is faithful and regular, which is the best thing to recommend them. It has been visited by celebrities from society, politics, culture and sport, whose photos are framed and hung on the walls. They also offer a great wine list.
