Until January 6th, a huge nativity scene, entitled The Light of the Nativity at the Cathedral, will be on display at the Cathedral of Valencia.
This is the first time a nativity scene has been exhibited in the Cathedral for four centuries and it has been set up opposite the San Luis Obispo Chapel. This nativity scene is 12 metres long by 6 metres wide and consists of 400 pieces.

In this exhibition there are 54 paintings and sculptures which date from 1913 to the end of the twentieth century, documenting the different variants of abstraction, from the exuberant, formless abstraction defined in the early years to the strict geometries of the period between the two World Wars. It also covers the monumental oeuvre of the most prestigious living Spanish artist, Antoni Tàpies, who uses a mixed language.
